Biography

Meg’s passion for horses started at a young age. She was born and raised in Yakima, WA and has always loved the horse community here.  She started riding at the age of four and could never imagine her life without horses. Growing up she was involved in Pony Club and graduated with a C-3 rating.  During her time in Pony Club she enjoyed jumping, but found her true passion to be dressage.

She trained her childhood horse who is a purebred Arabian in Dressage and successfully competed with him through the levels to Intermediate I until an injury forced his retirement. As an adult she pursued her bachelor’s degree in nursing from WSU, simultaneously continuing to ride and compete in dressage. She has trained her current competition horse, CA Zanes Darjeeling, through the levels and will be showing Grand Prix this year.  She has successfully trained and shown horses through the FEI levels.

She is the recipient of the USDF Bronze, Silver Medals Gold Medals and has won numerous regional and national championships.  She loves training horses of all breeds and backgrounds.  Her second love is instructing and she enjoys teaching students of all ages and experiences levels.  Her training is a combination of elements from natural horsemanship and Dressage.  She is able to communicate with both horse and rider at any level of experience.  She has experience in starting young horses, or retraining older horses, with an emphasis on correct basics that will lead them to be successful Dressage horses or just great riding companions.  She continues her equestrian education with trainer, instructor, and “S” judge Mike Osinski who also just passed his FEI 3* testing.

She specializes in teaching Dressage, but also offers Natural Horsemanship training.  She offers training, lessons, starting young horses, and retraining problem horses.
